<aside> 👋 I'm an award-winning artist and designer from South Korea with a particularly keen eye for typography. My work — championing thoughtful, smart solutions and centering the audience and context in every project — has been recognized by the Noguchi Museum, Type Directors Club, Art Directors Club, Communication Arts, and Graphic Design USA, among others. Having earned my MFA at Rhode Island School of Design and taught core typography courses as well as creative workshops, I bring a unique blend of academia and industry experience to my craft.

Freelance Designer/Art Director/Illustrator
Design custom logomarks and logotypes, brand identity and guidelines, lettering, illustrations, books, brand collaterals, wayfinding, exhibitions, posters, presentations, websites, etc. Clients include Google, The New York Times, Stanford d.school, Parsons, and RISD Museum.

Huge Inc., Senior Visual Designer (Google)
Collaborated with copywriters, researchers, and Google stakeholders to create visual systems, illustrations, diagrams, infographics, research presentations, templates with detailed guidelines for implementation of future content, AI-generated assets, and case studies about Responsible AI development at Google.

Micro (stealth startup), Design Director
Worked closely with CEO and founders to ideate, produce, and manage all creative efforts including brand identity, product design, marketing, artist collab liaison, art direction for photoshoot and videos, and writing guidelines for incorporating generative AI pipeline into the workflow.

Occupant Fonts, Typeface Designer
Published original retail typefaces and updated and/or expanded existing ones in foundry’s font library for robust language support. Designed website and all marketing assets in-house.
